May Bank holiday weekend

Is it really, nearly the first of May?
It's gone so cold, I don't know what to wear ... do you?

I'm off cat-sitting for my sister this weekend, she has seven cats. Six have come from Barbados, as my sister and her partner have a weakness for stray puss-cats.

Research shows that stroking an animal (especially cats!) is good for your mental and physical well being and can lower your stress levels considerably, as well as making for very happy pets.

So, guess what I'll be doing for the next ten days?

Eastertime

Have you noticed how there's a real holiday feel in the air? Well I guess if you're involved in schools, in any way, it's the first holiday where there's the possibility of decent weather.

Suddenly the thought of getting away, maybe to the seaside, or to spend time catching up with family, becomes important.

Taking the opportunity to get out in the fresh air, is really good for our mental, as well as our physical, health. It helps to shake off any last effects of the 'winter blues.'

Also, starting to get more raw foods in our diets like carrots, cucumber & toms in lunch boxes can greatly improve our moods. Not forgetting, of course, that chocolate in small doses can help too. I'm sure that there'll be plenty of that around this Easter!
Well l hope that whatever you are doing, you have good fun.

A bit about me

Last week we went to Harry Potter World for the second time. We loved it every bit as much as the first visit, however, there was a couple of added bonuses, like the Hogwarts Express.

As luck would have it was the opening day of the Forbidden Forest attraction. The moving figure of the hippogriff was so life-like it made us jump. Thankfully, it liked our bowing.

Welcome

This is all scarily new for me, I don't even have a facebook page.
Bear with me, I've only just got used to using my smart phone as I'm a bit of a technophobe.

I hope you enjoy your stay with me, however brief it may be.
